Financial Aid
At Hickey College, we understand the fear that you won’t be able to afford your education. To help, we offer, at no additional cost, individualized assistance in developing a financial plan that works for you. Our experience is that almost everyone who wants to attend Hickey College can afford it.
Although the total cost varies from program to program, there are some common features that help make them affordable. Tuition rates do not increase for an individual student each year if the student remains enrolled full-time. Good estimates of costs for residence facilities, books, supplies, and uniforms are included in each financial plan.
There are several types of financial aid programs available for those who qualify: • Federal Pell Grants • Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants • Federal Direct Subsidized Stafford Loans • Federal Direct Unsubsidized Stafford Loans • Federal Direct PLUS Loans (Parent Loans) • Federal Perkins Loans • Alternative and Personal Loans • Installment Payment Plans • Scholarships
In addition, Hickey College is approved for the training of veterans and various governmental agencies have sponsored students at Hickey College.
Each type of financial aid program has its own set of criteria and rules. Awards can vary based on each person’s and each family’s situation. Some programs require applying by a deadline.
We understand that financial aid can seem confusing and that you want to optimize your financial aid eligibility. You will have an individually-assigned representative at Hickey College. He or she can help answer your questions, assist you in understanding applications, gather information, and develop an individual financial plan that works best for you.
